Chips sit packed round the base and larger points stand out from them on one side. Metal runs along the edge of the stone, round the base of each point and into the gaps between the chips. The points stand clear of the glass, so the mug needs a little more room than a plain one.

Hot and cold drinks both work, and the stone sits at the foot where your hand does not go. Wash by hand in warm water, keep the stone out of a long soak, and dry it straight after. Do not microwave it, and do not put it in the dishwasher. The metal will not rub off with handling.
