Large Blue Agate Cheese Platter/Tray 10"x15"
A long serving board at 10"x15", its face built from separate slices of blue agate fitted together, with a metal edge round the outside.
Each slice keeps its own banding, so the face is a run of small blue patterns rather than one sweep, and the joins between them show as pale lines.
Size and Materials
- Stone: blue agate slices, near black through cobalt to pale blue
- Face: separate pieces of stone fitted together, joins visible
- Outline: follows the outer slices
- Size: 10"x15"
- Metal edge: fine, following the outline
- Finish: Gold, Silver or Rose Gold
Every piece uses natural stone, so slight variation in color, marking, shape and size will occur.
Using It
Cheese and crackers, charcuterie, fruit, chocolate. Stone stays cool, which helps a soft cheese hold its shape on a warm afternoon. Cut on a separate board rather than on the stone, so a knife does not leave a line in the polish. Wipe with a damp cloth and dry it. Never the dishwasher. The metal edge will not wear through at the corners the way a plated finish does.
A Good Gift For
A wedding registry or a housewarming for someone who hosts properly. The length takes a full cheese course.
